Secrets worth Sharing 2

Portitxol

The small secluded cove of Es Portitxol on the north coast of the island is one of Ibiza’s most secret hidden gems. It’s well worth the walk to escape the crowds and reach the crystal clear waters of this blissful cala with a pebbled beach and surrounded by fisherman’s huts. It’s an idyllic spot at any time of the year but if you plan to visit during the summer months don’t forget to make sure you take plenty of liquids, wear sensible shoes and bring your swimming and snorkeling gear!

How to get there…

You’ll find this sensational spot just a short drive from Sant Miguel.

Once at Sant Miguel, head in the direction of Sant Mateu and the residential area of ‘Isla Blanca’.

On foot, follow the handy yellow arrows which you’ll see painted along the pathway. The walk downhill to the bay takes around 40 minutes and the journey back uphill will take a little longer!

Once you reach the below junction we recommend taking a short detour down to the right, where you’ll see some stunning graffiti for some insta-worthy holiday shots!

After snapping away, return back the way you came and at the junction turn right following the winding cliff path enjoying the incredible coastal views and as you pass through the pines you’ll stumble across the ruins of an old dwelling.
